Responding to an Inquiry from a Medical Licensing Board

COPIC provides resources to insureds to assist them in responding appropriately to an inquiry (disciplinary action, complaint, etc.) from a medical licensing board. If you receive an inquiry, the first step is to call a COPIC occurrence specialist nurse to report this during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Mountain time), Monday through Friday. The number to call is 800.421.1834.

Colorado Medical Board (CMB) Inquiries
The documents posted below were produced by COPIC's Risk Management and Legal departments for use in advising our insured physicians who receive an inquiry letter from the CMB. Colorado insureds should still report this (as noted above) to a COPIC occurrence specialist nurse.
