North Dakota Humanitarian Award Recipient—Dr. James Miles

Jun 23, 2022

We are proud to announce that Dr. James Miles was chosen as the 2021 recipient of COPIC’s North Dakota Humanitarian Award. Dr. Miles is recognized for his commitment to making a difference in health care.

Dr. Miles has made an indelible mark on children across North Dakota, not only through his work as one of only two board certified, fellowship trained pediatric neurologists in the state, but also through his volunteer work, which has focused on supporting children with critical or life-threatening illnesses. Dr. Miles has been part of referring three deserving children to Make-A-Wish® North Dakota. Dr. Miles also volunteers as the medical director for A01 Foundation where he’s led fishing trips at its Camp Conquerors on Lake Sakakawea program.

Dr. Miles designated the $10,000 donation associated with the award to the A01 Foundation. He was presented the COPIC Humanitarian Award at the North Dakota Medical Association Conference in September. Congratulations Dr. Miles!
