The COPIC Medical Foundation (CMF) provided funding to the following organizations in November, 2011:
- With grant funding from CMF, Newborn Hope, Inc. will be able to upgrade its website for online distribution of its popular “Carrying to Term” booklet in both English and Spanish.
- Colorado Mission of Mercy received funding for its dental clinic that is held annually in a Colorado community. With more than 100 portable dental chairs, dental services are provided to children, adults and the elderly who cannot afford dental care.
- 2040 Partners for Health will be able to provide community engagement training for health care professionals in the neighborhoods of Northeast Denver.
- Funding from CMF is assisting Think About It Colorado with maintaining its website as a resource for patients and health care providers. The organization aims to increase knowledge about patient safety.
- Funding for the Children’s Museum of Denver “Healthy Kids Month” in June 2012 will help children learn about their bodies and how to stay healthy.
- Bonfils Blood Center Foundation is receiving funding to convert its current paper-based system into an electronic donor record system.
- Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition aims to provide immunization-focused education for health care providers overcoming parental and cultural obstacles for immunization.
- CMF is partnering with Regis University in 2012 to offer a Quality and Patient Safety scholarship to students currently enrolled in the post-baccalaureate Certificate in Quality and Patient Safety or the M.S. in Health Services Administration.
