History of the COPIC Medical Foundation
COPIC Medical Foundation (CMF) was created in 1992 by The COPIC Trust, the "parent" of COPIC Insurance Company and its affiliated business units. When the Trust was founded in 1981, the Board stated: All organizations have responsibilities not only to their customers and employees, but also to the communities in which they operate. When COPIC Insurance Company reached a point at which its surplus and reserves were sufficient, the Board of The COPIC Trust deemed it appropriate to use a portion of investment earnings to create a charitable medical foundation.
