Support for Our Neighborhood
COPIC Companies believes all organizations have responsibilities not only to their customers and employees, but also to the communities in which they operate.
Following COPIC Companies' relocation in April 2000 to a facility on the campus of the former Lowry Air Force Base, employees organized COPIC's Community Action Team ("CATeam") under the auspices of the Corporate Community Relations Program. The CATeam's primary mission is to serve Lowry and Denver through participation in events and services that will enhance and develop the community.
Projects in which the CATeam is involved include:
-
A school supply drive in the fall
-
"The Giving Tree," a program through which COPIC employees purchase holiday gifts for less fortunate children in the Denver metro area
-
A mentoring program with children from elementary, junior high, and high schools in the area
-
A "Friendship Program" that matches employees with residents of Aspen Village, a retirement community located across the street from COPIC's headquarters
-
A quarterly blood drive to benefit Bonfils Community Blood Center
